Adelaide 36ers captain DJ Vasiljevic was one of the key components of Australia’s comprehensive win against Thailand in Bangkok on Thursday night.
Vasiljevic scored 14 points to go with four assists and three rebounds as the Boomers stormed away from the hosts with a dominant second quarter performance in a 101-48 victory.
Thailand came out inspired to perform in front of their excited fans too and by the time Attapong Leelaphipatkul knocked down a three-pointer, Thailand were leading 22-15 just before quarter-time.
The Boomers scored the last five points including a buzzer beater to close the deficit to two and then the second period started in the same way with Australia catching fire from long range.
