White wins plaudits for Blitz feats

Adelaide 36ers guard Isaac White’s impressive CODE Sports NBL Blitz campaign has been recognised with the off-season recruit finishing runner up in the Ray Borner Medal.
The Medal is awarded to the MVP of the Blitz, as voted on by a panel of five NBL experts.
White was among the best for the Sixers in the win over Illawarra on Wednesday night and backed it up with another impressive showing against Tasmania on Saturday night.
He let the scoring for the Sixers with 20 points against the Hawks and chimed in with four rebounds and six assists.
Against the JackJumpers he was his again side’s joint top scorer with 18 points, three rebounds and five assists.
The Ray Borner Medal was claimed by New Zealand’s Isaiah Brockington who got 25 votes overall.
White came second with 20 votes, with six players next best on 15 votes.

White arrived from the Brisbane Bullets in the off-season, returning to his home state after previous stints with Illawarra and Tasmania.
The Sixers had the chance to win the Loggins-Bruton Cup as Blitz overall winners for a record seventh time but fell short with one win and one loss and a total of 8.5 points claimed.
In the end the Breakers took home the trophy with the JackJumpers second and 36ers in third.
