36ers honoured to turn pink for great cause

Adelaide 36ers on Tuesday launched the inaugural PINK SLAM game and released the jerseys the team will wear on Brett Maher Court at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre when the home venue turns pink for one night only.
Owner and chairman Grant Kelley is thrilled the club has partnered with The Hospital Research Foundation Group for the inaugural PINK SLAM game on October 14.
“This will be celebrated on the night with everyone in pink, we want as many 36ers fans as possible to be in pink, get the merchandise and support this great cause,” Kelley said.
PINK SLAM merchandise will be sold to fans prior to and at the game, to ensure the packed Adelaide Entertainment Centre is a sea of pink, with all proceeds raised from the auction, merchandise and public donations going directly to breast cancer research, patient care and accommodation.

Adelaide 36ers guard Mitch McCarron said the PINK SLAM is an incredible initiative and can’t wait to run out in the new pink uniforms.
“Unfortunately, we know or know of someone around the country who has been affected by breast cancer,” McCarron said.
“Any time we can get out and support this cause is great.
“I think it’s going to be great to see the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in a sea of pink, I think the jerseys look great.”
Adelaide will host Illawarra Hawks at the PINK SLAM game and McCarron said it’s important the team embrace the important role a special night like this does for the community.
“It will be a great game and hopefully we get a good win and can celebrate,” McCarron said.
“They (Illawarra) need to figure themselves out because we are wearing this.”
