Adelaide 36ers veteran Daniel Johnson is loving being surrounded by talent as he and his teammates prepare to take on New Zealand and South East Melbourne Phoenix this weekend.
Johnson said having a deep squad has been a welcome addition as the club strives for the NBL23 championship.
"It's definitely nice having a talented group and a lot of different pieces CJ can put into the game and help us get some wins," he said.
Johnson was instrumental in the 36ers' win on the road over the Sydney Kings and said there's been improvement in the offensive end.
"It was great, I think we're starting to figure stuff out on the offensive end, we're finding the places where people can impact the best," he said.
"I think we've been getting guys the ball in the right places, instead of forcing things...we're doing a better job offensively."
With a double-header with the Breakers and Phoenix coming up, Johnson still said he's 'feeling good' and ready to go.
"I'd rather be playing than training, it's exciting, it's a fun part of the year," he said.
"I'm feeling pretty good, with each game we've played we've improved in different areas, so hopefully we can keep building.
"New Zealand is playing pretty good at the moment as well."
