DJ wins gold in Singapore

Adelaide 36ers superstar big man Daniel Johnson has helped Australia to a gold medal performance at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in Singapore over the weekend.
The seven-time 36ers MVP winner teamed up with Jesse Wagstaff, Greg Hire and Andrew Steel as Australia defended their crown yet again, their third success in-a-row, downing New Zealand 21-17 in the final.
Johnson averaged six points per game as Australia had a perfect 5-0 record across the tournament.
The Aussies opened with a 21-14 win over New Zealand and a 21-11 success over Qatar in the pool games before winning their quarter-final 21-8 against Chinese Taipei and a 21-13 triumph against China in the semi-final.
Australia has now qualified for the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in 2023 and the gold medals were presented by FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis and International Olympic Committee vice-president Ng Ser Miang.
