Boom off-season Adelaide 36ers recruit Robert Franks got to taste the NBA life at the Las Vegas Summer League last month.
Franks played for the Boston Celtics at the week-long event and he said the opportunity to play in front of NBA executives has only fueled the fire for his upcoming NBL23 campaign.
“To go in there and see how everybody acts, how they move and operate was special,” Franks said.
“That organsination is a winning culture.”
The 201cm power forward played limited minutes in his four games with the Celtics, averaging 2.5 points per game before an ankle sprain ended his tournament early.
“It’s always good when you’re in an NBA organsiation, it was a great experience,” Franks said.

Franks said the dream, like any professional basketballer, is to make the NBA and after getting a Summer League taste the past two seasons, he feels the 36ers will give him the best chance to make it to the big stage.
“That was another reason why Adelaide was a great choice for me, the front office, CJ (Bruton, head coach) and the team that’s built will really help me elevate my game,” Franks said.
