Senior Assistant Coach Marko Marinovic will take charge of the Adelaide 36ers for Friday night’s game against Tasmania, with Head Coach Trevor Gleeson to miss the game due to a family commitment.
Gleeson has been granted leave by the club and will return to lead the side against South East Melbourne next week.
Marinovic coached the team to victory over the Cairns Taipans during the Code Sport NBL Blitz in the pre-season.
He has an extensive playing and coaching background in Europe and was assistant coach with the Serbian national team that won bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Friday night’s game at MyState Bank Arena in Hobart tips off at 7:00pm ACDT.
If you can’t be there live, you can watch the action on ESPN via Kayo or Disney+.
