The Adelaide 36ers have welcomed on board Ed Niu as a new development coach and video analyst.
Niu arrives in Adelaide having built a resume teaching and coaching at Salesian College in Melbourne as well as being an assistant coach at Nunawading in the NBL1 South for six years.
He worked with Adelaide 36ers centre Ben Griscti at Nunawading this year and has been held in high regard there.
Niu also has previous experience coaching in the state underage programs in Victoria.
“Ed comes to us with some really positive references, both as a coach and a person,” said Adelaide 36ers General Manager of Basketball Operations, Matt Weston.
“His experience in the video room as well as in player development makes him a valuable addition to our coaching group.”
Niu joined Head Coach Trevor Gleeson’s coaching group last week and will be part of the Adelaide 36ers’ program that competes at the Code Sports NBL Blitz, starting with a game against Illawarra on September 3.
