Adelaide 36ers head coach Scott Ninnis said “it’s important to finish this season off well” in Sunday afternoon’s home game against New Zealand Breakers at the Entertainment Centre.
Ninnis said his side will prepare for the Breakers match like any other and knows his side owe the 36ers fans for their support during the entire NBL24 season.
“We have 9500 people coming in, it’s going to be our seventh sell out in-a-row,” Ninnis said.
“We owe to our fans, we our it to ourselves, to finish off well.
“They sell out our stadium week in, week out, and we have gone through a lot this year, it’s been up and down.
“They come every game, it’s been phenomenal their support and we would like to send them off with a win.”
Adelaide will look to end their NBL24 campaign with a victory against a Breakers side still aiming for the Play-In tournament.
Ninnis said his been impressed with how his side has responded in the back half of the season, but laments what might have been.
“We have come from a long way back and we have played some pretty good basketball, especially in this calendar year, we have had some fantastic results,” Ninnis said.
“Those losses (early in the season) were too many to overcome.

“We got New Zealand at home, and we will prepare for them as we would prepare for anyone.
“We can’t make it down, which is devastating.
“We will now give the guys a couple of days off then we will prepare for New Zealand, and I fully expect to go out there and beat them.
“We need to finish off as well as we can, with an eye towards next year.”
