Adelaide 36ers guard Craig Randall II said the team will come ‘ready to play’ as they prepare to tackle the Sydney Kings on Friday night.
Randall II, who scored 28 points in a mammoth performance against the Illawarra Hawks on Saturday said the win was great after a ‘reality check’ against Tasmania.
“It definitely gave us a reality check, we had to look at ourselves in the mirror, but that game’s behind us now, so is the Hawks game,” he said.
“Every night, we’re 0-0 and we have another chance to go 1-0 on Friday.
“A win, that’s always my focus is to win.
“It’s never about individual wins, we need this as a team to keep building what we’re trying to do.
“We’re going to treat them with the respect that they are the champs.
“To go there and beat them, they’re rolling right now, to stop that and keep our roll going will be big for us.
“We’ll come ready to play and that’s all that matters.
Randall II was quizzed about comments made by Sydney Kings owner Paul Smith regarding the 36ers, but said it isn’t their job to worry about it.
“We play basketball, comments are comments, that’s not our job to worry about that,” he said.
