'It's always a privilege': McCarron on Boomers

Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron said he's delighted to be pulling on the Boomers jersey once again for their two remaining FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Bahrain and Kazahkstan.

Since the qualifying window's opening back in November 2021, six teams have qualified including; Australia, China, Lebanon, New Zealand and host nations Jaspan and the Philippines.

McCarron is joined by familiar faces and 36ers players and staff Nick Marshall, Jared 'Jazzy' Campbell and Jamie Pearlman.

"It feels awesome, it's always a privilege to play in the green and gold," he said.

"I think everyone who comes into the program and understands what this culture is loving it from day one, everyone gets around you and we're trying to achieve wins.

"It's been good to see guys come in for the first time, some of the younger guys who may or may not have had a taste of it before.

"Guys like Nick Marshall get their first crack at a Boomers team and see what it's all about."
