The Adelaide 36ers are excited to announce that highly credentialed centre Isaac Humphries has been re-signed on a one-year deal. The 23-year-old, 211 cm former NBL Rookie of the Year will return to the Adelaide 36ers for the NBL22 season having won the Coaches Choice Award at the recent 36ers MVP Awards Night. One of the most accomplished big men in the League, Humphries averaged 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots across 19 games for the 36ers in the NBL21 season, before his season was cut short due to injury. Isaac is excited to be returning, and to be playing with what promises to be an exciting roster. “I am really looking forward to another season with the Adelaide 36ers and coming back to Adelaide. I am excited to see the team form under Coach Conner Henry and to play alongside some exciting new signings, ” Isaac said. Head Coach Conner Henry is happy to have Isaac returning for the NBL22 season. “Isaac continues to put in the work to get himself physically ready, his work ethic and commitment to the team has us all very excited for the coming season,” he said. Chairman Grant Kelley has welcomed Isaac back to Adelaide. “Bringing back a quality player such as Isaac Humphries is really exciting and is a key piece in putting together the team for the NBL22 season. I am looking forward to seeing Isaac back and wearing his number 8 jersey.” General Manager of Basketball Jeff Van Groningen added, “Isaac is a guy who brings so much to the Club – first and foremost he is a great person. We saw last season that he was one of the League’s best players for the first half of the campaign so I can’t wait to see him back on court.” Issac’s signing is the first of a number of exciting announcements the Club will make in the coming week.
The NBL22 season is scheduled to commence in October with the Adelaide 36ers to start pre-season training at Adelaide 36ers Arena (formerly Titanium Security Arena) in September.
