The NBL24 season is here and the Adelaide 36ers are ready to add to our illustrious club history as we gear up for another campaign on the court.
After forming as the 36ers for the 1985 NBL season, when West Adelaide Bearcats and Adelaide City Eagles merged to form one South Australian entry in the national league, Adelaide has become one of the pillars of the competition.
Winning four championships, Adelaide became known as ‘title town’ in the late 1990s after the 36ers won back-to-back titles and it’s a place the club strives to get back to in this ultra-competitive competition.
This season, the club has welcomed ‘home’ some key talent in big man Isaac Humphries, livewire import forward Jacob Wiley and point guard Jason Cadee, and has reset for another playoff tilt.
To launch our NBL24 campaign, the club has created the #wearesixers history feature, produced by Lennon Cooper from Flix Productions, to give our new and loyal fanbase an insight to the club’s past and our passion for the future.
NBL Next Star signing Trentyn Flowers said the #wearesixers video piece played a major role in his decision to bypass his college career and choose Adelaide.
“To see all that history of the club and all the success, that was a real tipping point for me, I was really impressed,” Flowers said.
“I understood straight away about the club I was joining and the passion the fans want to be successful.”
The 36ers is an iconic name, an iconic brand and represents a state of hard-working, no-nonsense people who work hard to succeed.
We are strong, we are proud, we are family, #wearesixers
