New Adelaide 36ers recruit Craig Randall II said the key to his signing was the faith he has in the NBL and the club to develop his game.
Speaking to adelaide36ers.com after signing a one-year deal this week, Randall II said 36ers head coach CJ Bruton played a major role in his decision process.
“I had some Zoom calls with CJ (Bruton) and they decided they were going to take me,” Randall II said.
“As soon as I heard that, I was all in.”
Randall II knows how much the NBL has boomed over the past few seasons and with the rapid increase of players making the NBA from Australia, including Josh Giddey, and is excited to make his own mark.
“I just know it’s a good league, I wanted to be somewhere where there is competitive basketball,” Randall II said.
“I wanted to be somewhere where I had a coach that helps me develop, so I thought Adelaide was the best place, and the NBL is second to none right now.”

The 193cm combo guard said the 36ers fans can expect him to bring a lot of energy and passion every time he steps out onto the court.
“I’m a guy that can score, a guy that can make plays and going to get stops,” Randall II said.
“I want to come in and try to make as much impact as possible and put on a show for the fans.
“I want to win some games and get back to the playoffs.
“We are looking to change that this year for sure.”
Randall II can’t wait to get started after a long journey back to professional basketball.
“I’ll be in Adelaide next week, I’ll see you guys soon,” he said.
