Adelaide 36ers will start the NBL24 season with a double header which sees off-season recruit Jason Cadee face his former teammates on opening night.
The 36ers will commence their NBL24 campaign in Brisbane with a battle against the Bullets on Friday, September 29, before returning home to face arch-rival Melbourne United at the Entertainment Centre on Sunday, October 1.
Cadee, who spent the past five seasons in Brisbane before the move back to Adelaide, is set to make his return in 36ers colours against the Bullets.
The 186cm point guard, who played 147 games for the Bullets, knows the importance of not only the match, but the return to his former home.
“That first game against Brisbane will be tough, it’s always tough whenever you play your former team for the first time,” Cadee said.
The 36ers will have to turnaround less than 48 hours after their Brisbane opener to host Melbourne United at the Entertainment Centre.
Adelaide 36ers chief executive officer Nic Barbato said having a home game in the opening round is vital to the club’s momentum.
“We sold out our last five home games of last season and we want to keep that going,” Barbato said.
“To play Melbourne United in our first home game is a great start to our season.”
The full NBL24 schedule will be released on Thursday, April 20.
