Adelaide 36ers remain the hottest ticket in town and the club continue to smash records, with 6000 paid members now the new target for the upcoming NBL24 season.
Owner and chairman Grant Kelley said the ‘Target 6000’ campaign is a great reward for the loyal fanbase who have supported the club over the past five seasons.
“The Adelaide 36ers supporters have been nothing short than magnificent, the club sold out the last five home games of the NBL23 season,” Kelley said.
“We have now increased our membership quota to 6000 now, which is a great result for everyone involved.”
Adelaide 36ers broke a membership record last season of just under 4700 members and this number is now over the 5000-mark leading into the first NBL24 home game on October 1 against Melbourne United.
With the club launching its new mobile app two weeks ago, becoming a member is easier than ever before.
Adelaide 36ers general manager of consumer business Ben Demertzis said membership requests began as soon as NBL23 concluded, with 97 per cent of last season’s reserve seat-holders already paid up for the new season.
“We had 87 per cent reserved seat renewal last year and that was a high retention number. To have 97 per cent, so far out from the season, is unheard of,” Demertzis said.
“This has been unprecedented, and now we will target the 6000 members for this season.”
Adelaide has been working with the venue on reconfiguring some of the seating to add more seats for the NBL24 season, so more records can be broken during this campaign.

Kelley made the decision in 2019 to make move from the Adelaide 36ers Arena to a home venue closer to the CBD and the club has had over 50 per cent increase in membership since NBL19.
The 36ers are currently among several NBL teams working with Ticketek on a ticket resell option to add value to memberships and, importantly, fill empty seats when members don’t turn up to games.
“It’s still in a trial period, but we’re hoping to have it up and running by the start of the season where members who can’t attend games can put their tickets back into the pool for an incentive,” Demertzis said.
There are still a number of options available, including four and seven-game memberships, but all Platnium, Gold Plus and Gold Plus Upper are all sold out.
